A very kind and thoughtful shrine goer gave me a book entitled “Keep Calm and Trust God”. Wow…was it an eyeopener! In today’s society, anxiety, fear, and worry have become part of who we are. Certainly, there are many real things to stress over; grief, finances, family issues, etc.
Perhaps the worst of these is grief. It’s bad enough when there are real issues in life that cause us great distress, but many of us suffer from the disease of What If….what if I get sick, what if I can’t pay my bills, what if, what if, what if! We fill our minds with undue anxiety, fear and negativity. Remember the phrase “In God We Trust”? We need to remember these important words when we are walking down the anxious road of life and the path of pessimism which leads to stress, anxiety and fear. The word “fear” is mentioned 365 times in the bible. God is constantly telling us to trust Him and fear not.
The worst place for us to live is in our own heads, so evict yourself, relocate, and begin life anew in the love and trust of God. Plant seeds of positivity; nurture a garden of love; harvest nothing but kindness. Faith abolishes fear, so never let your faith waiver. Our God is bigger than any fear that haunts us. ~Connie Pickles
