I would like to clarify again that St. Joseph’s Home (SJH) is a private non-profit corporation and independent of Holy Rosary Shrine and the Archdiocese of Boston.

Shrine funds are not used for the operation of the home.

However, we have made a $1,000 donation to SJH from the HRS Outreach Fund. The Outreach Fund is money that has been donated to the shrine specifically for helping the poor. It takes the place of the prior Corpus Christi Parish St. Vincent De Paul Society. It is our plan to help SJH financially but only with money that has been donated for this purpose. The Outreach Fund also supports other people in need when they come to us.
