So, who should win the Oscar for best actor/actress in the Nativity play held at the Shrine Center on December 28? It’s too difficult to choose a winner because everyone in the play and behind the scenes were awesome. Congratulations to all the actors and actresses who made this play a joy and such a festive occasion.
Caroline Then was the best director! She didn’t miss a beat in all the planning, even though I’m sure it was very stressful rounding up volunteers to act in the play.
The entire evening was heartwarming and joyful, and the turnout was wonderful. One of the many highlights of the play was the young violinist who could have easily passed for a professional musician. It’s tough to say who the award goes to, but certainly all deserve recognition for their outstanding performances. Thank-you to our friars for doing this and for making Christmas extra special for so many.
Also, the St. Alfio Society was very kind and generous to donate pizza, snacks and drinks. We hope this play happens every year because it truly brings home the true meaning of Christmas and promotes a beautiful family setting. May God bless us all, and may 2025 be a good year for all of us.
