Many have been asking about the status of rebuilding the rectory. Bids were opened recently and were much higher than expected. The Archdiocese is currently meeting with the insurance people to agree to a replacement cost based on the time of the fire. From there we can look at the different options. We are considering a smaller building or buying a residence nearby and using the area for more parking and better access to our planned handicap entrance. The process has been slow but we trust that God’s Providence is at work. Please pray that the Holy Spirit will guide us in this discernment.

Friary Possibilities

Is anyone aware of a house or other building in the neighborhood of the Shrine that could possibly be purchased and made into a residence for the friars? We are trying to explore all the possibilities, so please let us know if you know of someone with a property nearby that they may be willing to sell. Thank you.
